Dress For Success (community service)

  • Dec 14, 2013 · 10:00 AM
  • This location is shown only to members

Another community service opportunity. Dress for Success is an organization that takes in donated workplace-appropriate attire and provide women who need a suit for an interview something appropriate to wear. We will sort and hang dresses and suits at the warehouse. Wear layers with warm clothing, you may work up a sweat while on-site.

The warehouse is open from 10-2 every 2nd Saturday. You can work whatever time you are available during this time, all assistance is welcome.

I went and left. The bells weren't helpful and I didn't think it was a good idea to ring them all. My feet are wet (bad idea on my part to wear Uggs). I will try again in the future since I'm definitely interested in volunteering. Please post how to access the building in the future. Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi Azure. Sorry about the confusion, you do not need to ring a bell, just pull the door open. it's usually always open during the donation window to allow the public to drop off donations. Hope this helps when you return next month :-)

I had a great experience. It was nice to helping out and the people I volunteered with were an awesome group!

Hi everyone, if your plans have changed, please update your RSVP to "no" so Xan knows how many people to expect today. Thanks

Had every intention of attending the meet up however the weather didn't permit. Next time for sure.

My 13-year old daughter wold like to help, may she come with me? It does say "all assistance welcome" on this particular event but then there is a general "21-and-up" requirement on the group's homepage. I still plan to be there whether or not she is welcome.

    Hi,
This sounds like a wonderful volunteer opportunity. Count me in! I'll be there at 10. See you there. :-)
