Black Creativity Juried Art Exhibition at Museum of Science and Industry

Juried Art Exhibition

Black Creativity’s annual Juried Art exhibition is one of the country’s oldest African-American art shows. The exhibition typically features over 100 works of original art by both youth and professional artists of African descent. We will meet and take a look at some of these works by local and national artists of African descent.

If you'd like to see other exhibits at the museum I encourage you to come to the museum earlier and meet the group at the ticket booth at the East Entrance at 11:00am. Admission is $15.00 for Chicago residents and $18.00 for non residents. It should take about an hour or so to look at the pieces. We will be eating lunch in the Food Court after the walk.

Active duty military, Illinois POWs, Chicago firefighters, Chicago police officers and Illinois teachers (pre-K through 12th grade) receive FREE Museum Entry for themselves by showing a valid occupational I.D. when purchasing tickets onsite

I really enjoyed the artwork there. I hate I came late and didn't get to meet anyone in the group, though.

Friendly Reminder: We will be meeting at the EAST Entrance tomorrow. It is the one closet to the lake with street parking. We will not be meeting at the MAIN Entrance. If you are late or choose to park in the main area please meet us at the exhibit. Thank you again!
