Belle *Based on the Inspiring True Story* FREE Movie Screening!!!

  • May 7, 2014 · 6:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

BELLE is inspired by the true story of Dido Elizabeth Belle (Gugu Mbatha-Raw), the illegitimate mixed race daughter of Admiral Sir John Lindsay (Matthew Goode). Raised by her aristocratic great-uncle Lord Mansfield (Tom Wilkinson) and his wife (Emily Watson), Belle’s lineage affords her certain privileges, yet her status prevents her from the traditions of noble social standing. While her cousin Elizabeth (Sarah Gadon) chases suitors for marriage, Belle is left on the sidelines wondering if she will ever find love. After meeting an idealistic young vicar’s son bent on changing society, he and Belle help shape Lord Mansfield’s role as Lord Chief Justice to end slavery in England.

The movie starts at 7p.  To receive event passes, please log on to:

***Please Note: These free screenings are offered to us as a group in order to build word of mouth for the film. The only catch is they are overbooked to ensure the theater is full and arriving early is highly recommended as seating is not guaranteed and is first-come, first-served.

Enjoy the show!!!

Does anyone happen to have an extra pass? I tried to get one on the Fox Web Site but the event was full. Thanks

Okay I have another Tip but it is the most important. Check in at the box office (at the refreshment stand) upon arrival to the theater and definitely BEFORE you get in line for the screening. Why? Sometimes the box office will collect movie passes and issue movie tickets before the movie representatives arrive. You will have to stand in line for the representatives to arrive and open the theater. However, this tip is very important because once the tickets are gone, you cannot get into the film even if you were already in line.

Tip 3: Be alert. Since the Landmark does not prohibit folks from joining the line early, some veteran movie screeners may arrive as early as noon to hold down the 1st positions in line. Unfortunately, people in line ahead of you will probably be joined by friends (a lot of them). More than once I didn't make it into a screening because of this practice.

Tip 2: Try to arrive early (before 4 pm) to get a good position in the line waiting for the film. Remember that your pass is not a ticket -- no guaranteed admission or seats.

I want to share 3 tips for everyone. So here is Tip 1: get there EARLY. The crowd should be HUGE for this screening.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
