Feed My Starving Children Service Project

In over 70 countries around the world, millions of children face each day with little or no food.  Through the organization Feed My Staring Children, those of us who have so much in comparison can now ensure that a child facing starvation is giving life=sustaining nutrition.  In 2012, more than 177,000 MobilePack volunteers packed over 41 million meals, with 204 events in over 30+ states.

Right now local churches and other groups are raising $48,000 to supply the food used in the packs.  This will provide 218,000 meals at 22 cents each.    You will help package the meals in small bags.  The three meal formulas are packed with soy protein, dried vegetables and 20 vitamins and minerals—everything needed for a malnourished child to recover.

Can you help make this a fun event for 321 Kiwanis by volunteering for 2 hours?  We can help so many children and have a good time working together.

If you would like to participate please let Barb know by Thursday May 23 as sign up starts Friday and spots fill up quickly.  If you would like to help but are unsure of your schedule, please sign up and let me know.   If you would like to bring your child(ren) the minimum age is 5.

My son and I had a fun time. It felt good to be doing something for others. Thanks for the opportunity.

I have helped twice with this event and had a good time. It's a fun and fast action event. I'm going to be out of town so I will not be able to help this year.
