Opportunity for 35+ people to socialize and exercise. No extreme sports or activities...just simple events such as hiking, walking, easy cycling, kayaking on the lake, friendly volley ball games, casual tennis matches, 9 hole golf or short game, social dancing, volunteering, visiting the dog park etc   Some events will have a gathering after or before the event such as brunch, dinner or drinks.   From time to time, we will host dinner events, attend shows, art galleries and festivals.

Most events limited to 10 people and sometime we welcome up to 20 people as it is easier to socialize in a smaller group. We focus on the quality time, not the quantity of members. The questionnaires that each member answers when they join the group are intended to help members to get to know other members such as hobbies, marital status etc. (We welcome both single and married people.) We prefer that you to provide a face photo as it is easier for organizer, event host and members to recognize you.

Friendly Reminders:

  • Kindly change your RSVP if you change your mind. (Members who do not show up for three PAID reservation events without good reason or without compensation to the host will be removed from this group. This does not apply to drop-in event.)
  • It is not necessary that you reply NO unless you change your attendance since we only count the YES and it will reduce the number of emails that event host receive for each event as most of our events limit to 10-20 people but we have more than 500 members. 
  • Usually we cancel the outdoor event when it rains except few special events. It will be best if you check the meetup update before you leave your home if you are unsure about the status.
  • Kindly bring cash if you plan to join our paid event unless we specify the options on the event ad. (Most of the places do not accept separate billing.)
  • Only group photos will remain in the meetup site; thus, kindly remember to download your photo to your own computer within a week.
  • If you have question, call or text ahead of time at 650-762-5543 as usually it gets too loud to hear the phone ring during the event or too busy to answer all the calls or texts.
