Connecticut Clean Energy Lobby Day 2013

What: A day for you to come to the capitol, meet with your legislators and let them know in-person the kind of energy future you want!
When: Wednesday, May 22nd, 2013, meet at 10am in the atrium
Where: The Legislative Office Building and Capitol Building in Hartford

We'll be focusing on:
-Stopping the rollbacks to clean energy and corporate handouts in SB 1138, and building a strong clean energy future based here at home!
-Advocating for common-sense energy efficiency proposals in the Governor's natural gas buildout plan that would protect consumers, protect our environment and make homes across the state more efficient
-Advocating to end support for trash incineration facilities, and to ban fracking waste in CT

You can also join Capitalism Vs Climate to Say No More Fossil Fuels and False Solutions! It's High Time to Oppose the Comprehensive Energy Strategy, and To Call for 100% Just, Renewable Energy!

With dirty natural gas, carbon trading, and mega-hydro, Governor Malloy's Comprehensive Energy Strategy puts Northeast Utilities' and other corporations' profits over Connecticut's communities.

We can power Connecticut with 100% wind, solar and water, and we ought to start now. Last year was Connecticut's hottest year on record. We always knew burning garbage, coal and gas in Connecticut's cities was a bad idea, but now we have even more wake-up calls such as Hurricane Sandy and atmospheric CO2 passing the dangerous 400 parts per million level.
