UI Tree Management Information Session

In response to the power outages from climate change related storms over the last few years, UI and the CT state goverment had come to the conclusion that trees are a danger to our power grid. They have created a policy that they can remove or trim any trees they deem to close to power lines without regard to property rights, town policy or ecological damage. Please come and speak up for the trees that help us to breath and mitigate some of the current pollution in CT.

Tree Management Information Session

Hamden -  The United Illuminating Company will be offering an information session regarding its Distribution Vegetation Management Program.  The information session will take place on  Wednesday, January 15th at 6:30pm in the auditorium of the HAMDEN MIDDLE
SCHOOL, LOCATED AT 2623 DIXWELL AVENUE. The objective of this new program is to
reduce the probability of contact from trees in proximity to UI's infrastructure during extreme
weather events.
UI representatives will make a short presentation on the program and will be available to respond
to questions and concerns from Hamden residents.
