This ride is a class 1 as all driving will be in town and at lower speeds. That also means traffic signals. In this situation it is best to tighten up the group. Lagging behind encourages splitting at intersections when lights change. Keep it tight when driving in town and at lower speeds.

Keep in mind that many of these dealers are also at the final weekend of Bike Week in Daytona Beach. HOG will usually have a table there, too. It's a good place to ask questions. I have requested that each dealership has someone assigned to us to help with questions. We should stay as a group at these places as often someone will ask a question that you wish you had heard the answer. I've also given each dealership an approximate time of our arrival. We will spend no more than 30 minutes at each shop.

Please be prompt at our meeting spot and have a full tank. There are no fuel stops or rest stops planned on this ride as it is very short. From Starbucks to the last dealership is less than 40 miles. Yet, this will take over 4 hours as we spend close to 2.5 hours looking at bikes.

  • We will start at Harley Davidson of the Palm Beaches. Here you can see a great collection of motorcycles.

  • The second stop will be Palm Beach Motorcycles, just down the road. This Honda / Kawasaki / Suzuki dealer recently changed ownership to Broward Motorsports.

  • Our next stop will be Greater Yamaha. While specializing in Yamaha products, they have boats, wave runners, and other things to look at.

  • Further down the trail we'll stop at Iron Eagle. They specialize in Titan and previously owned Harley's and are very active in the motorcycle community. Always a nice place to visit.

  • Finally, we'll end our ride at Palm Beach Triumph and Victory in Boynton Beach. You'll have a chance to see the Rocket and have a Vision in the same place.

  • We'll lunch somewhere afterwards and talk about all the bikes we see. Naturally, there will be a picture of you with your favorite bike.

This will be a great day for bikers, especially those that have interest in the many bikes that are out there. Whether your buying or not, it's always fun to look.

This ride is on! It will be windy later, but this is a low speed, in town ride.

Well, if you use weather.com it looks like it clears considerably around 9 and continues getting better through 10 AM at 20% chance. If you use weatherbug.com you get a pretty even 40% for the day. I use these stats along with the morning radar to determine a lot. Odds are I'll be at Starbucks in case someone arrives, but I will also post whether the ride is on or not here. Check here before you leave. I'll post by 8:00 or earlier.

The forecast right now is for thunderstorms in the early morning clearing by the time we meet. The roads might be a little wet, but will dry fast with Saturday traffic. Right now, this ride looks like a GO!!!!

We'll keep an eye on the weather for this one, too. Check back here before you leave in the morning. I always post final information before a ride if there's a chance of rain.

    •  It was a great short ride with lots of time for socializing and we saw plenty of really cool bikes. Great idea for a ride ......
    •  WOW! Who would have thought a Class 1 ride could be so much fun. Any Class 1 rider that missed this really lost out. Our speeds were mostly in-town speeds and it gave an opportunity for newer riders to learn to ride together and deal with some wind. It was windy, but not bad at all. We had so many highlights. The Harley Davidson Rocker was at Palm Beach HD. We looked at a lot of bikes and talked a little with Kathleen, the event planner. We went to Broward Motorsports of the Palm Beaches for Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki. Some had never seen the 109 and loved it. Yamaha didn't have much in stock, but they had a used Royal Star TourLuxe that was beautiful. Will fell in love and now has to figure out how to get it. We hit Russo's for lunch (3 had never been!) and went to Iron Eagle. I love the Pro Sport there and several other bikes got a lot of attention, too. The Victory/Triumph deal dazzled with the Vision, the Rocket and other bikes. It was a GREAT day for riding!
    •  I thought this meeting was absolutely great. For anybody looking for a new bike...this was the one not to miss!!!
