I need help to keep our Meetups going strong!
You've probably noticed that the group is kind of slow these days, that's because lately work and personal commitments have increased leaving me little time for our great meetup. Dave says: "This is when you ask for some help."
Would you like to be an assistant organizer?
It's a great opportunity for anyone who is looking to get involved in the local scene and give back to our awesome industry.
What's in it for you:
Connect with those in the community.
Become awesome. People appreciate those who organize.
(Students) Gain experience. If you're a student, this is a great resume builder.
What I'd need help with:
Overall, I'm thinking this wouldn't take but to 2-4 hours a month.
Coordinating dates - It's best to schedule Meetups to avoid games and other important events. This take some effort in terms of searching what's best.
Assisting with presentations - Once we have a presentation in mind, we have to coordinate with the presenter the date and description to put in the email.
Group communication - Helping out with sporadic communication.
