Next 3DP Entrepreneur Meetup, May 19th - A VC's Perspective On Your 3DP Venture

Dear Doers,

I am pleased to announce that our next Meetup will be on Monday, May 19 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, and will feature Lux Capital's  Zack Schildhorn. As a well-established VC in the 3DP space and in the New York venture community, Zack will be offering his insights with respect to the topic "A VC's Perspective On Your 3DP Venture." Questions and answers will follow.

Zack Schildhorn is Vice President and Director of Operations with Lux Capital, a venture capital firm focused on disruptive technology companies. Zack has been with Lux since 2006, focused on operations and investments within energy and technologies at the intersection of the digital and physical worlds. Zack led Lux's investments in Shapeways (leading 3D printing marketplace) and SOLS Systems (3D printed custom orthotics). Zack is a regular contributing editor for Forbes and has been an invited speaker and guest lecturer at Cornell University, Drexel University, NYU, and the University of Pennsylvania. He lives in Brooklyn, NY with his wife.

The event will once again be held upstairs at the Churchill Tavern, 45 East 28th Street, and the cost of the event will be $20 per person, payable either at the door in cash or by credit card via Paypal.  I am in the process of negotiating drink specials for our group during the duration of our Meetup, so details to follow.  As usual, our events are off-the-record so I would respectfully request no recordings and no press coverage.

This is an invaluable opportunity to hear firsthand from a NYC venture capitalist who actively funds ventures in the 3D Printing space.  I am grateful to Zack for his participation and to all of you for bearing with me as I try to arrange truly meaningful Meetups to offer you a truly exceptional experience.  I hope to see you May 19th at the Churchill Tavern!

Happy Spring,

I feel terrible that I could not make it, having met many of you before, and enjoy the company.

I am sad you won't make it too! But I promise to have a trillion (ok maybe not a trillion) wonderful events that I hope you will be able to attend. Feel free to reach out if you have questions or want to learn more about how the evening went. Or bring the backgammon group on a field trip:)
