Introduction to 3D Printing (Content covered will be same as April 17th)

PLEASE NOTE:  DUE TO HIGH DEMAND, WE ARE OFFERING A SECOND SESSION.  WE WILL BE COVERING THE SAME MATERIALS FROM THE APRIL 17TH SESSION.

---------

People & Code and Draft Print 3D are once again working together on providing you with a glimpse of what the future may bring.

This meetup is for everyone interested in learning more about 3D printing, from the low range printers to what the higher end machines can offer.

We will have a variety of hobbyist / prosumer printers both on display and buzzing away for you to see. After a half hour talk on the topic, we open up the floor to any questions about this emerging technology.

Update: This event page hasn't been updated for a while but worry not, the event will still be happening next week. I'll send out more info in the coming days. We've since acquired Makerbot's newest offering, the Makerbot 2X for the space, so that'll be printing away as well!

I was on the waiting list and received an invitation only several hours before the meetup. I wish I had more notice. Will there be a 3rd meeting?

Hey Derek, sorry about that. The original limit we set of 25 does approach the capacity of the space (give or take a few). We worried, because of the rain, that there would be a lot of no shows so added a bit more capacity at the last minute. Sorry about that. If you are interested in taking a look at the printers, email me at [masked] and we can set something up.

Also, if check out toronto3dprinters.com. There is a monthly 3D printer meetup at the Makerspace Site3. There's a lot of information to be had there plus people usually showcase their printers (usually on the hobby range) as well.
