What skill level are you with 3d printing/modeling?

My skill level for modeling with SketchUp is intermediate while my 3d printing is very basic. At this point I am just exporting my files from SketchUp and sending them to ShapeWays.

What project(s) are you currently working on (doesn't have to be 3d printing)?

My shop contains mostly Festool equipment which uses the metric system for settings. I am currently modeling and printing setup blocks in metric sizes so I can complete my setup for each project faster.

What would you like to make in our meetup?

I am not very artistic, so most of my printing/modeling has been for industrial type parts.

I have been modeling in SketchUp and sending my files to ShapeWays. I am trying to evaluate the cost benefit of purchasing a 3d printer. I am an ERP consultant by day and a woodworker on the weekends.
