No Show Policy

The following "No Show" Policy applies to events that involve reservations

No shows and last minute cancellations impact many:

  • Organizers who are trying to be respectful to our venues and make sure that as many members who want to attend an event can
  • Restaurants who are holding a table for 15 only to have 8 diners show up
  • Wait-listed Members who would have attended can't make it because the don't have enough notice of a cancellation

A member is considered a "No Show" if they fail to attend an event that involves a reservation when they RSVPd "Yes" OR if they cancel with less that 24 hour notice. A pattern of No Shows could result in termination from the group. It is recognized that emergencies come up so the enforcement of this policy is at the discretion of the Organizers. It is a pattern of no show or last minute unexplained cancellations that would result it's enforcement. A pattern will be defined as three or more "no shows" as defined above. If a member is terminated as a result of this policy, they may appeal to the Organizer
