11.00 Meet for coffee and social at The Kitchen coffee shop joining the All Hallows church.
11.30 Tour of All Hallows crypt and church
All Hallows by the Tower is the oldest church in the City of London and a living church serving today's City community. It is one of the few London churches that escaped the Great Fire; but the cumulative effect of a series of drastic restorations has been very largely to obliterate the structural evidences of the development of the building. This Norman church was entirely rebuilt in the 13th century.
When the Great Fire of London raged in 1666, Pepys climbed the brick tower of All Hallows to watch the progress of the fire across London. Pepys lived in Seething Lane, across the road from All Hallows.

Food is around the £5.00-£7.00 mark, depending on what you choose - my favourite is the freshly cooked falafal served in pitta bread stuffed with salad and a delicious hot sauce - yum yum!
