No this isn't a scuba trip to the muddy depths, it's a hike on the levees at Alviso Marina County Park and a walk through the old fishing and cannery town of Alviso. Located at the very south end of the bay, Alviso offers about 10 miles of levees for walking or riding as well as streets where you can see the ghostly remains of it's maritime past.
We'll meet at Alviso Marina County Park and hike for about an hour and 30 minutes on the levees out and back (about 3-4 miles). Afterward, we'll walk through old Alviso over to Maria Elena's Mexican restaurant for lunch. Lunch is optional but feel free to join us for the walk through town.
