Judi has graciously offered her apartment to have the Seder and to have the meetup to plan the Seder. Space is limited so the event will have a cap of 12, so don't procrastinate if you are truly interested. Some people have already committed, so they have been included in the RSVP to the planning meetup. If anyone's plans have changed, just take yourself off. And, if additional people are interested, we could always add a second Seder at my house :) Unless anyone else has a bigger space to offer...
Please bring something to munch on or to drink to Judi's. If anyone is hungry, we can also order out.
hi everyone, please vote for which nite is better for you in the open poll, April 6 or 7 (fri or Sat), thanks, Ellyn and Judi
I can attend either night.
thanks Beth, you will meet them whe n you come over, I have 2, the one in the picture is now blind and deaf but it doesnt seem to stop her!
judi, animals are amazing, my dog is a therapy dog and we work with kids, and I also do some animal rescue work
agreed, my best friends, my first is turning 14 in April but still feisty, toy poodles can easily live to 18 but I see her winding down here and there and not seeing for 4 years now wears her out a bit, send me your cell and we can text photos LOL!
2nd seder night would work for me. What a nice idea :)
Please put your day preference in your RSVP. Just go to change RSVP, leave it on YES and add just text to the box and click submit.
If I have to work I can't come to this - but I'll change my RSVP if that happens INSTANTLY
will be at seder planning.
Thank you Denise :)
Still waiting for final confirmation from Helena, Sher and Nancy...
I am just waiting to see if I get out of work at 730 in which case I'll just be a bit late if that's ok. But there's still a possibility I'll get out at 830 which would be too late. I should know very soon.
Thanks Sherry. No problem.
Saturday it is.
Judi's apartment is a "shoeless" apartment, so please bring socks if you don't like walking barefoot.
Woo Hoo!!! My tootsies will be happy!!!
I can't make it, because I don't know when my migraine will disappear. I can make it either night. I'm very reform, so that would be my vote on how religious the sedar is. And let me know what you want me to bring. I make a mean pot roast.
Ouch, hope your head feels better soon :( I think we are all pretty reform. I have a feeling the focus will be more on food and wine, or wine and food. I'll put you down for the pot roast :)
I just got home from the Dr. and got on injection in my neck.I had a reaction, so I need to excuse myself. I actually got a pedicure for tonight.I am as reformed as the come. I would like to bring the wine,as i don't really cook.I also don't eat meat but can be flexible and will eat around the meat. I do eat chicken. If i am feeling better I will come.If you would prefer me to bring something else I will. Please let me know everyone's wine preference and the final count of who is attending. sorry
no problem Beth - feel better :)
Feel better Beth!
Nancy, feel better too!
I also do a very nice lemon pie specifically for Passover. It would be a wonderful reminder for me of Passovers past. Let me know what you decide.
Oh, and has anyone decided on what haggadah we are using? My choice, being reform, is the 1926 version of the reform one. It's short; we can skip passages easily, and it's mostly in English. What Hebrew there is, is transliterated.
Nancy, the lemon pie sounds wonderful. Call me and I'll tell you what we decided regarding the food 347-328-4377. As far as the Haggadah goes, that sounds ok to me, the issue is copies for everyone. I have one that was my grandmother's. It says copyright 1949, A Faithful English Rendering by Abraham Regelson. It's in English and Hebrew.
i don't need one, i prefer not to read , also please confirm what you want me to bring- i suggested wine
Beth, will get back to you soon.
I can only attend the 2nd night's seder, on Saturday night.
