Hey there Julie - I'm thinking a fun place to meet for lunch for our Empty Nester Moms might be The Slanted Door or Market Bar at the Ferry Building - are you up for that? I'm looking forward to meeting you and all other empty nesters - we probably have a lot in common -
take care and enjoy the freedom -
Linda
I didn't have time to respond to your email (thank you very much!) I had no idea that Marta Becket was even still there! Amazing!
We have 60+ "kids" already, this is taking off much faster than I ever expected!
Julie, I was jealous that you got to see them at Candlestick (or at least be there). My claim to fame is Woodstock, which alas didn't have the Beatles, but it had the Who, Crosby Stills, Nash and Young, Sha Na Na, Janis, Country Joe McDonald, Arlo Guthrie, Joan Baez and of course, who could forget Jimi Hendix... Well, I could LOL, because I slept through his entire performance! I hate to admit it, because I am still pissed at having been so tired that I couldn't stay awake and I missed it!
Hi Julie! Welcome aboard the bus! Yes, Patsy Cline was the 50s :-) And you answered question 3 correctly in that you got the Beatles in there somewhere! (Just kidding!) Seriously, glad to have you with us and I look forward to meeting you at a future meetup. By the way, I LOVE the Amargosa Opera House! When were you there?
Thanks for joining my cooking class and I am looking forward to meeting in either my Thai Cooking or Dinner are coming up soon:)
Thanks Julie for checking out questionable Sat event. Meetup is based on trust and difficult to monitor. Looking forward to meeting.
Whew thanks Julie, what a relief! And yes the event was a lot of fun, tho not very well attended mostly due i think to falling on the night of the big 49ers NFC champ playoff game and then wrenching loss, which prob made most around here want to crawl under the couch + stay there--DN
Hi Julie, sorry you couldn't make it on 1/22. I just want to apologize in case my "PS email" below sounded creepy. I can see in retro how it might have, tho I didn't mean it to be, just a novice at meet-up protocols and thought to say something individual rather than generic. Anyway, I just uploaded my SM redwoods photos, wh came out well for being funky cell phone-made. Best, Dan N
