New friends, sense of satisfaction from helping and supporting stutterers, inspiration to do more for others.
Loads of experience having stuttered since age 5, ways I've learnt to get a handle on - moderate - my stuttering and the importance of so doing before becoming a "victim of fatigue" (really!)
I'm retired, my children and I live in Toronto at Finch & Vic Park.
Pretty much retired from business, the lucky father of three wonderful children, grades 9 and 8 at public school and Casa at a Montessori-AMI school.
Our group is well appreciated by People Who Stutter; stutterers often feel as if we're all alone, that nobody understands us and we self-defeat in face of the obstacles in our lives. Together, it is easier for us to come to terms with the cards that life has served us. Thanks, my fellow PWS-ers, keep the faith! .... And do keep coming to our meetups!
