Is this an open day to celebrate Dame Elisabeth's birthday?
She usually opens her home as well on that day. It's a lovely picnic opportunity and there're sometimes food outlets set up behind the house.
I don't think it is but not too sure. This one runs over 2 days so it is more focused on garden/plants/other. There is another day that I didn't suggest because it is happening in February and is only one day and raises funds as a focus, this may be her birthday?? It is on when I am away though so hard to suggest then not attend.
Forecast for the day is 34 degrees. Bring a hat, water bottle, I can throw a picnic blanket in the boot of the car Kath! There are a lot of trees and shady places, the lake is nice too. Look forward to meeting everyone and having a fun day out.
Hehe, got the wrong weekend! Silly me! Anyhow I have started in the Discussions tab a heading called mobile phone numbers so we can find each other. I have left my number here and if others leave theirs we can ensure we don't lose each other etc. I will write them down before Cruden Farm 3 March outing. Here's hoping it is a nice day! Gotta laugh at myself (jet lag from Qld to Vic, histerical!)
There is also an existing mobil no heading with Myra, Kath and Sandra's numbers already listed. Handy to jot down!
Tomorrow weather, cloudy areas of rain (not heavy anyway thankfully) 21 top and 45 knot winds north easterly. Kirsty's mobile 0409994495. Meeting near ticket purchasing area, $15 entry.
The map shows a tower blaster and a poultry farm, this is not where it is. It is at the entry area as you get into Cranhaven Road jut off the Frankston Cranbourne Road. Hope you all get there, please cancel today if you don't intend to come along on the site:-)
Kirsten, I have a migraine at the moment. I would like to come but will have to see how I feel tomorrow. If it's gone, I'll be there.
For anyone interested I will be going to a Rockabilly night with "Friends of Glen Eira" at Monash Hotel at 7pm for dinner and 9pm dancing and band, free entry. Anyone interested on this same day in the evening are quite welcome to come along as well. Busy day but I LOVE happy busy days.
Anybody who would like to do both are welcome at my place between venues if they have a long way to travel.
Really sorry Sue, I heard you were there, I slept in, had an unexpected night with my young adult children who were up till 5am and I slept through the alarm. Woke right on 10am still exhausted and I really let you down. Terribly sorry again, we will have to make it up to you somehow.
Oh how wonderful, have longed to do this, thanks Kirsty for organizing, look forward to meeting up again. Glen
