The 39th Annual Atlantic Antic - The Largest Street Festival in New York City!

Join over 100 people from multiple meetup groups for the Annual Atlantic Antic. The street festival to end all street festivals! On this beautiful autumn day in Brooklyn, the Atlantic Antic will bring together thousands of people to Atlantic Avenue to celebrate the long standing tradition of food, art, music, shopping, festivities, and fun!

The Atlantic Antic is a living tribute to the myriad of heritages that coexist in Brooklyn. Spanning four neighborhoods from Hicks Street to Fourth Avenue, the Antic is the largest street festival in New York City! From start to finish, Atlantic Avenue is transformed into a sea of entertainment offering something for everyone.

Comprised of local and national vendors intertwined with the offerings of trendy restaurants and boutiques, the Atlantic Antic features live music stages that showcase free performances from various cultural genres. Best known for its eclectic delicacies, the Antic highlights an array of food from around the world in addition to street fair favorites like funnel cake, sausage sandwiches, and roasted corn!

Keeping the tradition alive, many of your go-to favorites are back again this year! Waterfront Ale House, will be featuring a 14 hour smoked brisket, as well as their very own pastrami and homemade mustard served on a pretzel roll. Table 87 Coal Oven Pizza, the 1st in Brooklyn to serve coal oven pizza by the slice, will be serving their traditional Margarita pizza, as well as their specialty square seasonal vegetable pizza. Brooklyn food favorites, like Mile End, Steve’s Authentic Key Lime Pie, and Red Hook Lobster Pound will also be there along with Sixpoint Brewery serving up the annual Antic Amber. New to the avenue is Free Range Wine, making their Antic debut featuring an array of over 200 fine wines. So much and more to explore!

In addition to vendors, there will be lots of free entertainment. In the past, this has included belly dancers along with bands performing in various styles. This year’s musical line-up includes ska band Tri-State Conspiracy, R&B group Brandi & the Alexanders, and Brooklyn born alt country band I’ll Be John Brown. The popular Broadway Booth will be back, “with fun prizes and giveaways from the award-winning show Kinky Boots, as well as Phantom of the Opera, and Les Miserables.

WHERE: The meeting location will be on the steps of the Brooklyn Borough President building located at 209 Joralemon Street Brooklyn, NY 11201 as seen via this link and this image below.

WHEN: The meeting time is 12 noon and we'll hang out and get to know each other till 12:45. We will then walk to the street fair together.

SUBWAY: As you can see from this link, there are tons of subway station stops encompassing this meetup location. The N/R Court Street stop, the 2/3 Borough Hall stop, the 4/5 Borough Hall stop, and the A/C/F Jay Street stop:

Staying together in a 1-mile long sea of people is going to be IMPOSSIBLE, but I have a fun solution. I have a TON of Mardi Gras beads. I will be giving these beads out to attendees to wear so we can find each other in the crowd. =)

If you have any questions prior to or on the day of the event, please do not hesitate to give me (Beau) a call at [masked]

This was so excellent! Even though I didn't meet up with the meetup crew, my friend and I finally arrived at 4p for some great music, good food, good beer and lots of people-watching. Thanks for organizing!

This fair is bigger than most other New York street fairs and also had the bus exhibit and middle eastern dancers. Also a great day for a street fair! Well organized by Beau.

Been 2x before. They have old NYC busses usually on display that you can go on. The Transit Museum is often free on this day. It's a great event that is apprx a mile long. Music, Alcohol, food aplenty!

Hi Beau. I am definitely planning on going today but I am considering possibly checking out the Medieval Festival fora bit uptown first before coming down to Brooklyn. I probably won't get there until later like about 3pm. I have your phone number and I will text or call you when I get there.

I will be there later in the day. So if I see anyone wearing beads I'll say hi.

NYC Transit Museum is offering $1 admission Sunday. But with the beautiful weather predicted, I'm not sure how many people want to stay underground. It is, however a great museum with subway cars going back to the early 1900s I believe. http://www.mta.info/mta/museum/

Hi everyone. So tomorrow’s (9/29) the big day. It’s supposed to a gorgeous sunny day with a high of 71. If you haven’t read the ‘what, when, where’ sections of the event page do it now. Those links I included tell you everything: time, meeting place, subway options, etc. It’s all there. We’re going to have insane amounts of fun so get psyched!! There’s over 200 RSVP’s!! Blah, blah, read the event page and see you tomorrow at 12’ish on the steps. If you have any questions prior to or on the day of the event, please do not hesitate to give me a call or text at[masked]
