Join us for an easy hike/walk thru Prospect Park.

We will meet just INSIDE Bartel-Pritchard Square (Prospect Park West and 15th Street [F, G Train to Prospect/15th]) As always.. look for the yellow bandanna!

We'll take a couple of hours (about 2 to 2-1/2) to explore Prospect Park, enjoy some great fall weather (it'll be great, I made weathervations!), take plenty of photos, and make new connections and friends.

We'll finish at Grand Army Plaza (2, 3 train) and I'm guessing the distance will be about 3 miles? There's no set-plan for a course, and we can let whimsy guide our way and make a few course diversions along the way. Essentially we'll walk 3/4 of the way around the entire park.

Optional, and up to whomever choses.. as we near our end-point, we'll walk right by the Prospect Park Zoo and Japanese Hill & Pond Garden / Botanical Gardens.

Both are very fun and beautiful attractions, but there are admission charges.

• Zoo - Open 10a-4p : $8
• Gardens - Open 10a-4p : $10 (Seniors 65+ are $5)

Afterwards, for everyone interested, we're heading to nearby Waystation for a live screening of The Day of the Doctor 50th Anniversary event! See our 1pm Meetup posting for details.

Hi Marie. This really is a walk in the park. Prospect is mostly flat with small sloping hills. At worst, the distance may be bothersome as it's nearly all paved trails, but we're just going at a nice walking pace to explore and have a fun social outing.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
