Cinco de Mayo Party Kickball

  • May 3, 2014 · 1:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Come celebrate one of San Diego's favorite holidays (two days early) and the start of summer with a fun afternoon of party kickball in Liberty Station Park!

When: Saturday, May 3rd, 1:30 pm

Where: Liberty Station Park (near the intersection of Cushing and Farragut Rd.)

Who: Men and women, ages 21+ (Alcohol is allowed at this event)

Price: $20 - Includes game participation, water during the game, prizes, team "costumes", "other" drinks ;)  This is more of an "entrance fee" for the entire event than specifically related to the kickball game!

5th Quarter "Party Kickball" is a fun summertime event - we'll have our own twist on kickball, with some fun surprises and activities as players round the bases. Plus there will be food, drinks, and sideline games for when you're not in the action. There will even be a piñata. This event is limited to participants 21 years of age and older: alcohol is allowed in NTC Park, and will be part of the day's festivities. There may also be some water activities if it's nice out, so dress appropriately. Wear green, red and white, or any other "Cinco de Mayo" themed outfit.

This is NOT a competitive event - it's basically a big party involving the game of kickball. Feel free to come and hang out in the park even if you don't want to play!  Detailed rules will be reviewed on the field prior to the event, but the main focus is to HAVE FUN.

There will be some snacks on hand - feel free to bring a dish, bag of chips, or a beverage of your choice for yourself or to share!  We're also working on getting a food truck to stop by for some post-game refreshments for those who want to continue to hang out after we play.

**Liberty Station Park is one of the last parks in San Diego where alcohol can be legally consumed. We encourage all participants to be responsible, and either bring a designated driver, or take a cab to and from the playing field. If you are interested in sharing a ride/cab, let us know, and we'll be happy to help coordinate. **
