I'm about to celebrate my "social security birthday" and live in metrowest. I love meeting new people and doing interesting things. I'm retired and enjoy playing bridge, walking, painting, helping out with my grandkids.
Museums, music, theater, outdoor acitivities and dining would be fun.
A really wonderful group of people! Everyone was warm and welcoming and seemed to be seeking the same goal of making new friends and enjoying companionship.

Jan, I hope you're willing to make the trek some time as this is going to be a wonderful meetup and worth the trip. It's too early to know if the meetups will be migratory! Since the first meetup has 26 women coming, I may need to find a large enough and permanent space (and possibly pay rent) to accommodate the numbers.
Welcome, Jan, to our new meetup group! Enjoy your granddaughter's
play, and I look forward to meeting you soon. It's shaping up to be a diverse and interesting group of women.
Thanks, Jan. There's so much we can do (and still eat!). I'm going to post another attempt at a weekly walk-and-brunch
. Harriet S. and I thought a "bargain shop and lunch" event might be fun. Ocean State, Xmas Tree Shop, etc. are a hoot. In the summer, there are craft shows, open-air markets like SoWa, fairs, oldies concerts. And people still can eat before/after. While you're in charge during Terri's recovery, maybe you can come up with some events that include instead of focus on dining out.
