Thanks everyone...I had a blast, and I learned a ton. I am glad to meet each of you, and look forward to staying in touch and contributing.

Nice meeting you too and thanks for bringing in all that old gear! If you bring back that unix pc next time, I'd love to give you some command line tutoring. It was a dream tapping on that keyboard!

Not really Linux related, but I'll bring the DEFCON badge I designed. It was designed to get attention but it got a whole lot more than I ever thought it would.

Hi! Does anyone here know old-skool UNIX from back in the day? Particular UNIX System V release 2.2. This is the version of the language I am trying to teach myself, and I thought that a local group of Linux geeks may have someone interested in the nostalgic roots of Linux.

I am restoring some vintage UNIX machines which use this version. I feature these machines at http://MightyFrame.com

Has anyone ever heard of CTIX, the Convergent Technology branded version of UNIX System V release 2.2? That is my prime focus, and the most elusive so far.

I'd like to bring some of these machines to the meeting, if anyone would be interested in seeing and playing with these pieces of computing history.

I'd love for you to bring this down and let us take a look! I just updated the location to my new office in Henderson. We'll have a conference room available to demo.
