Hello. I typically do web development (LAMP) and have chosen python over ruby for sysadmin stuff since I have to start doing it for work. I know the cool kids are doing Ruby but i'm not a cool kid.
Lets just say that when I got burnt out on writing code back in the day, python helped rekindle that flame.
I really hope that this group meets consistently as I would like to call this group "home." It just felt right. As a newcomer to the group (along with one other) I felt really welcomed there. I liked how the presenter also explained things to where the other newcomer to the group was following along and he was taking notes. Great topic, clean code (well, it is python) but explained the process. I was really surprised about 'yield' and will definitely use it in future code. A very solid group. I'm also interested in doing a group project with them as well if that offer still stands. I think that it would be great especially since I write code in different languages and would like to learn best practices (unit testing, buildbot, etc) and believe that it could bring the group together even more.
