During the check-in we'll check everyone in and encourage everyone to grab a drink and mingle. Once everyone is checked in, daters will be given guidelines on where to sit, how to rotate, etc.
We will be in a private area and you will have a few minutes to chat with each of your dates and then rotate until you've met everyone in your group. You will register the names of those you are interested in. Mutual matches will be notified within 24 hours. No information is exchanged unless you both express interest in each other.
In order to maintain a gender balance, pre-registration is required, no walk-ins will be accepted, and no refunds will be granted within 72 hours of the event.

You are still welcome to join the mixer: If you are not in the designated group, you are still welcome to join the mixer. Most of the daters stay, so you have the opportunity to meet many Arrive at 8pm and pay $25 cash at the door.

EVENT DESCRIPTION:
Join a fun group of NYSN members and friends and set out on the streets of the Financial District; the site of amazing graveyards, hauntings and some of the grizzliest deeds ever done! It will be a fun and informative way to explore, learn and socialize. We’ll set you up on teams and give you everything you need to know to help find the clues. Space is limited. Following the hunt, you will have the option to socialize at an outdoor venue.
How it works:- Arrive at the registration point at 7:00 pm sharp. If you come alone, we will set you up on teams of about 5 people.
- Each team will have 90 minutes to find as many of the clues that we give you.
- When finished each team will return to a set location for socializing food and drinks.
- Prizes are awarded to those finding the most clues. (All clues are part of the geography, buildings and history of the area. We don’t plant any clues.)
What are we looking for?
Lower Manhattan in the early 1600s until now has been the site of hangings and hauntings, massacres, explosions and other not so nice and creepy things. You will be scouring Bowling Green to City Hall, visiting supposedly haunted places and searching for history markers while doing some research on things that have happened.
Illness Protocols/Refunds
This event is nonrefundable unless canceled. If you have tested positive for Covid or are sick with any ailment that prohibits you from attending, we will do our best to provide you with credits for select future events with a copy of your positive test results or doctor’s note. Credits may or may not equal the cost of the event missed and may only be applied to events selected by NYSN.
Recommended ages: 21+. The main demographic will be 30s and 40s but there will be many 20s and even 50s so those folks will feel right at home.
Can I come alone? Yes, most guests do! It’s a great way to meet new people.
