My name is John Domenoski. I am seeking a CFO/controller role in a small- to medium-sized company, or a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis role. We moved to Denver from suburban Chicago in early Oct., my position ended in early Dec.

What do you want out of our job club? Help networking? Latest job search techniques? Other?

To network, help others network, meet new people in Denver, learning what people think is working in their job search, how they are using LinkedIn, how they are networking, how to allocate time between networking, job search, company research.

What is your ideal next opportunity? Type of company? Your ideal role?

CFO or controller role in small- to medium-sized company or Director of Financial Planning & Analysis role with a path to CFO role. I am open to most industries, but not banking.

The 8 O'clock Job Club is an excellent resource for job seekers. You work on your "networking pitch" at the beginning of the session, and receive relevant, useful feedback from the group and the leader, Kathleen. Kathleen is very well-prepared for the sessions and uses the two hours to the fullest, but the pace is perfect, not too fast, and not too slow. You walk away from the sessions feeling confident and you have acquired more tools to aid in your personal branding and job search. Expect me to return next week!
