I can hear it now...Queen is an 80's Band! WHAT is this doing in 90's Nirvana? Well, first of all, Queen enjoyed success in the UK with their debut and its follow-up, Queen II (1974), but it was the release of Sheer Heart Attack (1974) and A Night at the Opera (1975) that gained the band international success. In fact, their 1977 album, News of the World, contained two of rock's most recognisable anthems, "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions" AND that makes them a 70's band! PLUS, thier beloved frontman Freddie Mercury passed in 1991 and IMHO, thier 'timelessness' didn't take off until after that. So there!

"Queen Nation, a tribute to Queen, was formed in 2004 and consists of: Joe Retta or Gregory Finsley on vocals & keyboards as Freddie Mercury, Mike McManus on guitar as Brian May, Pete Burke on drums as Roger Taylor, and Parker Combs on bass as John Deacon. The mission of the show is to carry on the musical torch and pay homage to the golden age of vintage Queen concerts. They also promise not to play songs from the 80's. I swear!

Queen Nation’s live 90-minute production of Queen’s greatest hits preserves the image, sound, and stage persona of vintage Queen. They have performed in front of thousands of people at casinos, fairs, festivals and private affairs."

Now, they are here in Vegas to perform for us! Yeah! Admission is $10 at the door and you HAVE to get there early to get in line for tickets, because this show is likely to sell out quickly. I will arrive at 6:30 to scope out the possibility of a line forming early and if there is, I will jump in line for us!  

Davita (my amazing g/f and Co-Host) will chill at Pin-Ups lounge until about 7pm to gather up the rest of the 90's Nirvana gang that wants to sit together. At that point, I will buy the number of tickets that correspond to the number of 90's addicts that have made their presence known to us. 

You can get there later than 7pm, but I can't promise group seating. :-( Of course, we hope that accomodations can be made all the way up until showtime, which is 8pm, but this show is bound to sell out, so just get there early!
