Mailing List vs. Message Board
If you have information we all need to know, like links to other sites or articles to read, then
post them on the “message board”. The original the message stays on top so it will be easier
to find again at a later date, it won’t get lost in our “mailing list” chatter. Make your subject
line reflect the content of the post to draw as many “reads” as possible.

Calendar
If you have an event, then send it directly to the organizer or any assistant organizer and
we will get it posted on the calendar.

Mailing List
The mailing list can now be used as a “blog” spot. A place to blow off steam and chat.
Just be sure the important facts are posted on the “message board” and/or calendar.
To get more bang for your buck, your email Subject Line should contain a true subject
regarding the contents of the email itself.

NOTE to All Members: Control Your Email Alerts: go to your personal account page, click the “Membership & Communication” tab, you can change how you receive “mailing list” activity. You can have them go to your personal email as they are posted: in a daily summary: messages by organizers only: or not at all. Adjust to suite your life style.
