Subject: [project912ccc] Telling my story - and giving God the credit - on ABC News!
I had an amazing thing happen last week, and wanted to share it with you.
Some of you may know me, and know that I am undergoing chemotherapy for ovarian cancer. I am healing from the surgery and battling this cancer with a positive attitude and a sense of humor. Overall, I am extremely positive and feel very, very blessed! I have seen the good side of people and have been overwhelmed with the love and support given to me - from family and friends - but also from strangers and just people in general.
My friend saw Karen Rogers from Channel 6 Action News and suggested me for the "Pay it Forward" segment of their show. They showed up at my home last week to give me $600 and interviewed me. It will air tomorrow, May 16th on their 4:00 pm news program.
I am a Fox news watcher, and haven't watched "Main Stream Media" for anything for years. Here's the best part...I was able to witness my strong faith - my belief that God has showered me with blessings - on this television network! I have been out of work due to the disease since February, so of course, the money was greatly appreciated (and needed to pay some bills!) - but being able to share God's goodness and offer some hope to others who may need it - and tell others that out of the worst thing that ever happened to me have come the best things that ever happened to me - the love of others - isn't that amazing?!
I hope that God can use me through this - and indeed, through my life - to "Pay it Forward" and encourage others. I feel so very blessed and feel sure that I will beat this disease and live! A lot of people I know work during the time this will air, so I know a few that will DVR it (Channel 6, 4:00 p.m.). I'm just so excited that I can spread love and God's message on a mainstream station! Isn't that great?!
Thanks for your support, as well. I haven't been able to be "active" lately, but don't think my prayers haven't been going up for this group, for the Tea Party, for our country and our world. Big time!
