With the realty of a faltering economy before us, it is important to learn more about how to prepare for a situation that most of us have not experienced.

We will have a speaker from the Mississippi Preparedness Project share with us some vital information on what we can do now to ensure the preparedness of our family, such as prepare and train for all foreseeable aspects of personal preparedness including Political, Basic and Emergency Medical, Food and Water Storage, Equipment, Local, State and Nationwide Communications, Personal, Home and Community Defense. A spokesman from Oathkeepers will tell us about the organization. Oath Keepers is a non-partisan association of currently serving military, veterans, peace officers, and firefighters who will fulfill the oath sworn to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Also joining us will be William Sackett from talk radio WTNI 1640AM on the Mississippi Coast, Radio America Network, Washington, D.C. and the www.GulfcoastNews.Com Radio Network.

WE ARE COLLECTING CANDY FOR 5000 SOLDIERS AT CAMP SHELBY WHO WILL BE DEPLOYING THIS MONTH. THIS IS FOR SNACKS WHILE THEY GO THROUGH 3 OR 4 HOURS TIME TO PROCESS FOR DEPLOYMENT. PLEASE BRING BAGS OF INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED CANDY ITEMS AS WE WILL COLLECT THEM AT THE MEETING.

I have a standing commitment on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday's each month. This seems to be the set time frame for meetings. Sorry, I can't seem to get more involved. I am truly concerned for my country and its traditional citizenry. Pat

I believe I'll be able to attend. I may be a little late, however, as that is a program night for me. We do not close until 6:00 and it is a 30 min. drive to the meeting. D

Thanks to Deborah Sackett and Lisa Williams for the support also. Great crowd and lots of good information. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped everything run smooth!

Good information from all speakers. We need to include information about financial preparedness as well. Gold & Silver, inflation, and history. It's a difficult subject.

Our country is in the midst of the most severe crisis we have ever faced as a nation...an attack from within our own borders to dissolve the freedoms that our founding fathers and thousands of courageous men and women since have fought and many died for. As a watchdog group, we study pending legislation and other political activities to alert the voting public and to rally them to contact their congressmen and to demand that their voices be represented. It is our goal to help unseat every compromised incumbent when their seat comes up for re-election and to replace them with candidates who represent the principles and values that we recognize as being the foundation laid by our founding fathers as they drafted the Constitution of the United States.

We are an action-oriented group focusing on what we can do to let our voices be heard and to effect the changes we believe our nation needs. We held or took part in 40 events in 2009, including a Tea Party on April 15 attended by over 1,100. We also hold membership meetings, informal gatherings and take part in regional and national events. We also take part in activities of affiliate groups like the Mississippi Tea Party, We the People and many more.
