Constitutional Rally - Jackson

On the South Steps of the (map)

Selected By: Jennifer West

Come to the Constitutional Rally to show our state legislators that we need them to fight for our Constitutional Rights!

People in this state know that the federal government was instituted to secure the individual rights of our citizens and instead now threatens our life, liberty, and property through usurpations of the Constitution. We no longer believe that anyone in Washington is looking out for us, and so we turn our attention to our state, in the hopes that Mississippi will stand against the many Constitutional violations that threaten our freedom.

If not, the time is now! Grassroots groups within Mississippi are rapidly growing, and we need you to stand with us if our way of life is important to you.

George Washington’s troops, on Christmas Eve, marched in the snow, barefoot, with burlap wrapped around their feet to surprise the British and secure our freedom as a nation. Is it too much to ask that you take off work, or give up other plans to make a stand?

We don’t have much time left before it is too late to do anything but to submit to what the politicians in Washington dictate. Don’t expect others to do it for you.

It is time to stand up and be counted

RALLY RULES

First and foremost – this is a Constitutional Rally. We need to put forth a positive message and show our state legislators that we are serious about expecting Mississippi to stand up for us. At all times, behave positively and respectfully. We don’t expect any “crashers” but you never know, and we are the good guys!!!!

We will be responsible for clean-up, so please, leave the grounds just as we found them. Emulate the 9/12 March on Washington last fall, when not one scrap of paper was left on the grounds.

Be prepared to stay the day. The rally is from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Bring some bottled water and snack bars.

Make signs – they do not have to be professionally done – but should be positive statements about our Constitutional rights and what we want done.

Some examples are:

UPHOLD OUR CONSTITUTION
PROTECT OUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS
NULLIFY UNCONSTITUTIONAL LAWS
SAVE OUR CONSTITUTIONAL FREEDOMS
THE STATE OF MS IS OUR LAST HOPE AGAINST TYRRANY
WE NEED YOU TO PROTECT OUR RIGHTS
OUR STATE LEGISLATURE IS OUR ONLY HOPE OF FREEDOM
USE THIS SESSION TO PROTECT OUR RIGHTS
PASS LEGISLATION TO ENSURE OUR FREEDOM

Please stay away from negative phrases or phrases using “states rights”. We don’t want to come across as confrontational – but purely positive in support of our Constitutional rights and liberties.

Schedule a meeting with your local Representative/Senator sometime that day to tell them how you expect them to help us and/or call them and let them know about the Rally. Ask them to come and show support.
