Purvis 9.12 Group Meeting

The new Purvis 9-12 group will have a meeting on February 9th at 6 PM in the community center behind the library.

Jennifer West, Lewis Garvin and Ron Vincent will be speaking. Please attend and help support our newest 912 Group in Purvis. If you have not had the chance to hear these folks speak before, you have missed a patriotic treat. They all do a great job!!!

Get commentary on the current political climate and learn what you can do to help defend our freedoms and preserve our free market system.

DIRECTIONS: From I-59, as you come into Purvis, turn left at the red light at the bank and then right at the next light at Shelby Speights Road. The event is at the Community Center behind the Purvis Library.

I thought it was very informative. Jennifer did a marvelous job of explaining what the 9.12 movement is all about and where we are going, etc. She was very excellent. Lewis Garvin spoke too and he was very good and encouraging. He is so passionate about the movement and wanted to help our Purvis group in anyway he could. For the life of me I can't recall the other gentleman who spoke, but he was very excellent. Howell Purvis

I thought there was a good turnout. Most of what was shared, the group needed to hear. Those of us who have participated in the 9.12 for some time had heard most of what was shared. Most of the folks in Purvis are very conservative and if they joined, they could be kept up to date on events. That is a big "if". This was probably the best location to have such a meeting. There must be a way to get to the younger generation involved, especially high school and college. They no longer study American history. The 20 and 30 year old group have no idea what is going on.

Our country is in the midst of the most severe crisis we have ever faced as a nation...an attack from within our own borders to dissolve the freedoms that our founding fathers and thousands of courageous men and women since have fought and many died for. As a watchdog group, we study pending legislation and other political activities to alert the voting public and to rally them to contact their congressmen and to demand that their voices be represented. It is our goal to help unseat every compromised incumbent when their seat comes up for re-election and to replace them with candidates who represent the principles and values that we recognize as being the foundation laid by our founding fathers as they drafted the Constitution of the United States.

We are an action-oriented group focusing on what we can do to let our voices be heard and to effect the changes we believe our nation needs. We held or took part in 40 events in 2009, including a Tea Party on April 15 attended by over 1,100. We also hold membership meetings, informal gatherings and take part in regional and national events. We also take part in activities of affiliate groups like the Mississippi Tea Party, We the People and many more.

Get involved with the Republican Party - Run for Precinct Captain or other Executive position. Campaign for your chosen candidate. Canvas your neighborhood with campaign literature. Volunteer to work at polls for primary or general election.
