Critique and Discussion Meeting

The purpose of the group will be to assist fellow writers with there immediate, short term writing goals with greater intensity. Along with critiques, the idea would be to help inspire each other creatively, and to motivate positive action toward publication.

Please plan on bringing a short piece to read, but if you don't have anything or are uncomfortable in the beginning, you are more than welcome to come and participate in the discussion.

Please support our wonderful venue by purchasing something so that they will continue to welcome us every week.

Hi Joanna. So, here's my story. I'm a writer and I own a new publishing company. I wanted to check out this group to meet other writers, see what's out there, and personally share with them a way to get published through a publishing contest I'm running right now. (Free to enter. www.thedramaticpen.com Click on "Poetry" for more info.) I am already a member (the leader, actually) of a small critique group, but it's a Christian critique group. So, that being said, I would love to meet with you sometime (not at the Walking Moustache, too spendy for me) and get to know you and talk about writing and welcome you to Missoula! Love making new friends--especially writing friends! I'm not really looking to start a second writing group, but if you're interested in checking out mine, that can be arranged, too. Email me at [masked]

Hello Susan, I am new to town and will try and make it next week. At least there will be two of us. Will you be bringing anything to read? Joanna

So, I went tonight, but no one else came. Is this group inactive?

I doubt I'll know anyone there and I've never been to that restaurant. Do you have a specific spot you meet? Or, is there a name I should ask for? :)
