SW (Beaverton, etc) Critique Meeting

We are using a read-aloud format. If you wish to have your work critiqued, please bring a short piece or chapter (about 3-5 double-spaced pages) to read out loud to the group. It can be any genre, including non-fiction or poetry.

You don't have to read - you can show up to listen and critique or just listen. We don't have set time limits on critiques - all we ask is that you be mindful of how many readers are reading after you so that everyone gets a chance to read. This is a public venue so please support it by buying something. :)

Please RSVP so we know who is coming and can grab a big enough table to accommodate all of us.

Speaking of good writing, ever see Invasion of the Body Snatchers, good poignant stuff!

Yes. Let's just bring good writing and read it to each other. Looking forward to seeing you all next week. I'm glad you liked my first five pages of Mister Mercury.

Okay, I really meant to attend this week, but of course I wake up this morning coughing and with a throat to sore to talk.
I hate to miss another week, but I don't want to spread this around. :(

Bring your NaNoWriMo project to the meeting!

I'm woefully behind on my NaNoWriMo word count and might stay home tonight to try to catch up. Hopefully I can catch up during my breaks at lunch and make it to the meeting instead.

My wife an I should have stayed in LA where we met and married and where both my kids and I were born. Instead, we came to Portland when I was 36, my son, Max, 5, my daughter, Caitlin, three, and my wife, Gina, crazy as fuck.

It appears I will be leading this coming meeting, too! We sure had a good time last Tuesday, so see you all next Tuesday to do it again! [grin]

Hello! Sorry I missed the last two meetings. I had mid terms, and last week I just missed my train. I'll definitely be here this time!
