SW (Beaverton, etc) Critique Meeting

We are using a read-aloud format. If you wish to have your work critiqued, please bring a short piece or chapter (about 3-5 double-spaced pages) to read out loud to the group. It can be any genre, including non-fiction or poetry.

You don't have to read - you can show up to listen and critique or just listen. We don't have set time limits on critiques - all we ask is that you be mindful of how many readers are reading after you so that everyone gets a chance to read. This is a public venue so please support it by buying something. :)

Please RSVP so we know who is coming and can grab a big enough table to accommodate all of us.

Once again I will be missing the meeting. Life as a glass artist can have some long hours, and I hope to be in control for meeting next week. Thanks for bearing with me

I will try to be at the March 11 meeting. Work has had me on overload, so I can only say I'll try

I will try to be at this meeting, if I am recovered enough to do so. On 2/25, a restaurant served me a meal with bell peppers in it, despite my telling them that I was highly allergic to them. I am in my second week of anaphylaptic shock, and undergoing medical treatment for it.

Oh wow! I am so sorry to hear that! As someone with food allergies, (I'm gluten-intolerant) I can totally empathize. I hope you recover fully and quickly and are back with us quickly!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
