Starry Nights is hosted by the Santa Clara County Open Space Authority. We have been deprived of clear skies this spring, but the weather has turned and prospects look good!
You've got a telescope? Come on down and follow along with the objects we view. Questions? Whats that really bright "star" after sunset?
We have members of the San Jose Astronomical Association available to answer your questions. No telescope? Come on down and look through our telescopes and learn about the planets and stars you can see.
Jupiter will be low in the west and Saturn will be rising in the east when it gets dark. Both are well placed for viewing, as well as deep sky objects of the spring and early summer skies (think galaxies!)
Sunset : 7:59PM PDT
Dark: 8:28PM PDT
Moon: Not visible; rises at 3:36AM PDT
