I apologize for the late notice...help from SJAA and other folks with scopes is requested to provide enough telescopes to support the ~300 people from the public we usually get for this event.
We plan to set up telescopes in the equestrian staging area, or on the pathway outside the parking lot... Please park on the asphalt lot, or in the overflow unless you are bringing a telescope. There will be folks with young children setting up lawn chairs for viewing in the gravel area, as well as on the open field past the path so please arrive early in order to set up your telescope/binoculars and avoid the rush.
We plan to view the objects of the summer milky way as well as hope to catch some early Perseids. The moon sets relatively early, so it should be a good environment for deep sky.
