SJAA Talk: Dr. Chris McKay

The SJAA general meeting is coming up on Saturday, 17 August.

We will host Dr. Chris McKay from NASA Ames Research Center. His talk will center on the search for life on other planets, with an update from the Mars Curiosity Rover. Dr. McKay will begin at 8PM.

Preceding the talk, starting at 7:30PM, will be social hour. Come hang out with others who are interested in astronomy and related sciences.

It's all happening this Saturday, 17 August, starting at 7:30PM in the Hall at Houge Park in San Jose. Directions:

    Dr McKay's talk was very interesting, and it was timely, too, in that he described the highlights in the year that Curiosity has been on Mars, what it's been up to, and where it plans to go, what it plans to do. Dr McKay has a nicely developed sense of humor, too!
