Render Optimization Workflows using Mental Ray

Landon will de-mystify the complexities of Mental Ray and show how to reduce render times significantly. How to utilize maya's feedback features to isolate where renders strain and what you can do to fix it. Understanding Mental Ray and renderers in general behooves both novice and expert alike. Landon aims to break down the walls of warfare between renderer preferences and educate which tool is best for which job. This presentation will also cover the Mental Images Architectural Shader and why it is faster than a lambert! Finally, the newest update to the Mental Ray renderer will be explored and demonstrated for it's simplicity.
