As I was browsing through Meet-Up, I noticed there were quite a few groups on spirituality - but they didn't seem all that active... So I decided to create community for myself and start this new group. It's a group devoted to exploring spirituality, with what many would call a new age bent (although I don't particularly identify with that term). Meditation, workshops, exploration of shared ideas, fabulous co-creation.... these are my desires for our time together. Events will include gathering in a coffee shop to exchange ideas, outings to different spiritual centers throughout Chicago, meditation by the lake front, and other activities as inspired... Influences for the group include: Eckhart Tolle Neale Donald Walsch Abraham Hicks (Law of Attraction) Thich Nhat Hanh (Buddhism) and the principles of the group are guided by Unitarian Universalism. Anyone with an open heart and a questing mind is welcome to join.
