Introduction

Chicago is an awesome city and I'd love to discover more of it.

What do you feel is Chicago's most awe inspiring feature?

The architecture is incredible. I went on a river cruise earlier this year and didn't realize our city had such a rich architectural heritage.

Tell us what types of things you like to do in the city... tours, neighborhood festivals, dining out, dancing, visiting the beaches, museums, sports teams, music venues, etc?

live shows, museums, watching or seeing the blackhawks, tours

What do you think is the most fun place to visit in the surrounding areas?

i always have a blast at the art museum. i've been there only once in the last year and i could easily go several more times and still not see everything.

What kind of music do you enjoy?

i love the blues and most of the rock that spawned from it.

What kinds of food and beverages do you LIKE? What have you not tried, but would be interested in trying? and finally anything you DON'T like?

there isn't a cuisine i won't try. i feel like i've got europe and asia covered pretty well but haven't had a lot of south american cuisine so i'd like to try more of that.

This group is intended for interesting folk with a playful spirit--those who like or NEED to cut loose every now and then and have some fun. It is for singles as well as married people attending with or without their spouse. Have you ever found yourself laughing just a bit louder than the party at the table next to you in the restaurant? Perhaps you stifle telling a slightly off-color joke while you just sit there smiling while you try to behave? That you dance with abandon on the dance floor not really caring what others might be thinking? LOL

Yeah, well then WE ARE FOR YOU!

We have a bunch of smart, fun, funny people for you to make some new friendships with. Some of us are a bit off center (okay, so it's only me) but I like to take y'all along for the mischief and merriment!

We will have events at all different times, days and for different interesting venues. We also do some volunteer projects from time-to-time too.

I'm a big fan of exploring the different foods and neighborhoods of Chicago. I especially love what Chicago has to offer during the summertime. And if its free, its even better!!!

There are a ton of things that I want to do, and I thought it would be more fun to do with a group.

Some of the upcoming fun to expect? Tours... via boat, bus, or foot-walking tours.. Architectural tours, ghost and paranormal tours, visits to cultural events, see the city 's plethora of world class museums, wander through her ethnic 'neighborhoods', visit the zoos, catch the tunes, taste the cuisines...

See the fireworks from navy pier, or from aboard a dinner cruise... Check out the city's best pizzas, BBQ, brew pubs, dance clubs, gin joints, etc... You get the picture...

DINING OUT, DANCING, Music & Entertainment Events... Movies, Theater & Performance Art, Karaoke (when we feel the need to make a fool of ourselves)

Did you know Chicago has over 400 BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle) restaurants? If you are new to this craze or have never heard of BYOB the gist of it is: if a restaurant doesn't have a liquor license they may allow patrons to bring their own alcohol, usually at little or no cost. We will be uncovering these hidden gems in this city while getting to know our neighbors. (not for you?)

Who says you need alcohol to have a good time? We also have events geared for those who want to get out and meet new and interesting people, take full advantage of all the great things Chicago has to offer, without it having to revolve around alcohol.

Activities will range from day and weekend events, to the nightlife that makes Chicago so great. I look forward to doing with newly found friends--YOU! Come out and join us in our little adventures as we scope out the cool finds this World-Class City and her surrounding areas have to offer while creating new friendships along the way. So join us, mingle with us and let me know what kinds of events you would like to see us plan for--I'm pretty flexible and like to change things up to keep things interesting... Many of the events are planned for the loop / downtown as well, mostly along el lines and cta bus / trolley routes.
