Hello Everyone,

We're a playful bunch when we all get together, however, we don't necessarily take advantage of the tools available on meetup.com.

This email is to encourage you to do 3 tasks.

1) List the names of Friends that you have met thru meetup in the ''COMMENTS'' section of the ''FRIENDS EVENT'' being 'held' this weekend on our group.

I think acknowledging both the old and new budding friendships is a good way to cement in our minds part of the reason we joined in the first place. Besides having something to do to get us out of the house, we came here to meet more people in our lives!

I hope you'll each take the time and add people who you've met. This will assist us in keeping our group in tact, healthy--indeed vibrant!

2) SHOUT IT OUT, won't you?! I am requesting that in the next week each and every one of you choose 3 people who you have NOT met in our meetup group and give them a shout. Keep in mind that everyone sees your shouts, so keep your playfulness clean or at least witty. :)

(How to do that)

  • Go to our group's site, CLICK on the 'MEMBERS' tab on the top header bar.

  • Scroll thru the list of members. CLICK on the NAME of someone who looks interesting.

  • Read about them... see their answers to the questions, read their introduction, LOOK at their list of 'interests' (if they have them publicly listed)

  • Then, SCROLL DOWN to the bottom of their information and POST A GREETING for that person in their post a greeting window box.

In your shout, tell a little bit about yourself, and ask them a question to which the answer isn't clearly in their profile, which you SURELY read, right? And please, if you receive a shout, respond in kind!

And yes, we have some incredibly attractive people in our group, so let's not all gang up on them. If you see someone who isn't getting any shouts, please, make them feel welcomed in the group!

And finally--

3) Let your colleagues, friends and family know about meetup and then get them over to our group. If you have a large group you'd like to invite, let me know. I'll help with flyers or even actual invitations. :)

Have an amazing weekend everyone!
