Open to all Santa Cruz and nearby communities, a rockin-good shamanic time! 4th Saturday evening every month starting 8 pm going till about 10 pm. Power dancing, calling in the directions, shamanic drumming, send distance healing, personal and group cleansing, journeying, divination... The best way to get introduced to shamanism, and for those who are familiar with these practices and spiritual approach, a perfect way to maintain the practices. 4 dollars donation (please!) at the door to give to the Quaker Center for use of the space. Located at the Santa Cruz Quaker Center at 225 Rooney Street, Santa Cruz.
Bring a blanket or small rug to lay on the floor (otherwise it is hard), pillow if you want, something to rest over your eyes during journeying to shield yourself from any light, your drums and rattles, and personal sacred items if you want to lay them on the alter during the gathering.
Gatherings are led by Dr. Steve Serr, ex-psychologist-turned-shamanic-mentor. Steve is passionate about regathering the ancient ways and wisdom that grew from our ancestral understandings of our natural relationship with a sacred Earth. He has contributed to evolving shamanism worldwide through his Shamanism 101 curriculum with hundreds of active students.
This monthly gathering finally provides Santa Cruz and the surrounding communities with the sacred space for personal and group healing and wellness, and it is peppered with instruction and support.
Steve has been a leader in spreading ethical practices among shamanic practitioners and carefully passes forward accurate and safe protocols of practice. The shamanism he passes forward relies on the 'core' shamanic elements from throughout the world and over history, and rest on a recognition and relationship with a sacred Earth from which our indigenous wellness and shamanic healing practices come.
First-timers as well as seasoned shamanic 'vets' are all welcome as this circle provides ample room and space for all!
