A Snail's Pace Running Shop in Monrovia is located at 750 S Myrtle ave, Monrovia, CA 91016
Our classes of Running 101 and Running 102 meet every Monday and Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm in front of A Snail's Pace Running Shop and also on Saturday morning at 7:00 am at Encanto Park, located at 777 Encanto Parkway, Duarte, 91010.
Our Running 201 and Running 301 classes will meet on Sunday mornings only at 7:00 am at Encanto Park in Duarte.



The classes offered in Monrovia will be:

Running 101- Beginning 5k Training. This class is a no experience required class. If you have never run before then this is the class for you. For the first two weeks you will begin with brisk walking followed by 30-seconds of easy running. By the end of the 12-weeks using a five level of progression method you will be prepared to RUN a 5k race.

Running 102- Beginning 10k Training- This class begins where RA101 left off. You will begin with easy running for 40 minutes but still taking 60-second walk breaks every few minutes. You will be introduced to short intervals or surges as well as proper running form biomechanics. This is a 12-week course after which you will be prepared to run a 10k race. (3 months of running experience or completion of RA101 is required to enroll in this class)

Both the above classes meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6:00 pm at 750 S Myrtle, Monrovia, CA 91016 and Saturday morning at 7:00 am in Duarte at Encanto Park at 777 Encanto Parkway, Duarte, 91010

Running 201- Beginning Half Marathon Training will meet every Sunday morning at 7:00 am in Duarte at Encanto Park. We will be using the San Gabriel River Trail for training. To qualify for this class you must have at least 3-6 months of consistent running experience or recently completed our Running 102 training class. This is a 16-week training course.

Running 301- Beginning Marathon training is the most advanced class we offer. It is a beginning marathon class not a beginning running class. To qualify you must have 6-9 months of consistent running experience or recently completed our Running 201 training class. This class will only meet on Sunday morning at 7:00 am at Encanto Park in Duarte. This is a 26-week training course.


All our classes will include informative clinics on proper foot wear, injury prevention, nutrition, stretching, running form bio-mechanics and pacing.
