RA-201, Half Marathon Training (10 Mile Run)

Hi Runners,

Saturday's run was a really good run we even had the weather on our side. As usual the challenge was no problem for any of you, you all did well.

Here it is the first of two all chapter runs, this one will be a 10 mile run, another tough challenge that I know you can all handle.

But for those of you who feel that this is going to be a lot to handle maybe you should think about running this challenge using intervals. Maybe if you tried 6:1 or 5:1 interval ratios you might feel better through out the run.

There's no need to run at a fast pace just run it slow and easy, we have all day so take your time and enjoy the run.

1.1er's your going to run an 8 miler, this is going to be a challenge for you too but I have run with you more then once and I know you all have the determination to push through this challenge.

Stick to your intervals and you will knock this one out of the park.

Remember everyone this run is going to be at Huntington Beach so make sure you give yourselves enough time to get there at 6:00 am. so you can get a good warm up before your run, remember this is your longest run so far, You don't want to cheat yourself.

I can't guess what the weather is going to do at the beach but the best advise I can give you is to make sure you start hydrating now. Even if the weather isn't extremely hot it will be a long run that will still dehydrate you as well as the heat can.
