Saturday's are the days we go for our long run. We continue to use the interval which we are using during the week but stay out for a longer period of time. It is still a brisk walk and a easy run. Because we are running longer we do not do foundation training on Saturdays.
I know... I hear you grumbling... it is difficult to get up early on a Saturday morning especially when it is chilly or rainy outside and our bed is nice and toasty warm. However, the morning is the best time to get it done. You will be done with your run before most people finish their first cup of coffee. d:-)
Below is our end of the week schedule:
Thursday - 20 min foundation training
Friday - REST no exercise, take the day off
Saturday - 35 minutes @ 0.30 min run and 4.30 min walk for 7 intervals
Sunday - Walk
Remember to eat before you come to class and hydrate.
