102 - 10K Winter Training Session

Hi all! This Saturday you will be running for a total of 50 minutes at a run 4 minutes/ walk 1 minute interval led by Coach Anne :)  This will be your last run at this interval!  Continue to pay attention to your posture (hip-to-nip, close the drawer, midfoot strike right under your hips, etc.).

    No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening - it's painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way. Literally true and metaphorically true! Bottom line: HIS word is TRUE!

    When you are training for a marathon, it's often helpful to have a coach guide and correct you. Waking up early in the morning, practicing in the rain, and enduring through the cold elements challenge your discipline. A coach keeps you accountable and ensures you stay on track. Yet, there is no feeling quite like finishing a marathon. When your Coach pushes your limits remember you are preparing for a marathon. It may be painful, but you can push through.... eeerrr okay, so it is not a marathon at this point in time. But, you get it!
