I want to share something that has been on my mind. Just because we can see a car doesn’t mean the driver sees us. This is true for every run we do when we share the road. However it is tenfold when we run at night. A little extra preparation for our runs will
keep us safe. Here are some tips.
Bring a light – Wear a headlamp, chest lamp, or use the flashlight on your phone. Bring
something to light your way.
Be visible – Wear reflective running gear.
Lift your feet – Shadows caused by flashlights and headlamps can throw off your depth perception, causing you to trip or fall. Lift your feet with every step.
Run on the sidewalk – It may be harder on your joints, but in the dark it is a safer option.
We are beginning our second week of running one minute and walking 4. You are doing awesome! Keep up the good work putting good form running into practice. As you are
concentrating on your form, remember to have fun while you run. I don’t think anyone will stick to running if they have perfect form but don’t enjoy the time they spend doing it. *<):O)
Here's your beginning of the week schedule:
Sunday - Walk
Monday - 30 min @ 1 min run/4 min walking. Plus 10 min foundation training.
Tuesday - Cross Training
Let's be seen!
