Karaoke of the Month!

It's that time of the month, dear friend...time to dust off the ol' windpipe and get ready to blow a new tune! I'm talking about karaoke, my friend, right here in River City. And that starts with "k" and that rhymes with "a," and that stands for awesomeness (for which there is not nor ever will be an extra charge)! Perhaps pony up, slow poke, and ride side-saddle or simply sidle on down to the sacred confines of our sepulchre of song, where old tunes are resurrected and new ones are sanctified through rapturous repetition by us, their devoted disciples.

We like all of musical creation to be represented. We like show tunes, ballads, rock, rap, soul, and country. We like punk, pop, lieder and gospel. We like hip-hop, bebop, folk, and emo. We like K-pop, J-pop, Mandopop, and doo-wop. We like bachata, reggae, soukous, glam, and ska. Whatever you sing, you're welcome here!

Karaoke (at Melody) is $6 per person, per hour.  Please also bring $1 in cash to help cover Meetup.com's $144 per year hosting fee.  Most meetups last about 3 hours, so figure $25-$30 if you stay the whole time.  Please RSVP Yes only if you can attend as we cannot keep a room if there are too few of us.

The song queue can be reordered using the room's iPad, so everyone will get a chance to sing.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
